To all his friends,

This is Daichi and Taiga Shimizu, the sons of Hiroshi, our loving father.
Please excuse us to announce with great sadness that our father Hiroshi Shimizu passed away on February 17th, 2021,at the age of 66.

He has undergone hemodialysis due to several chronic diseases for last 4 years. Thanks to his passion and great help by his colleagues, Hiroshi proudly completed his 21-year professorship in dermatology till his retirement age in March 2020.

Throughout his life and career, he was really positive and energetic. He always lived gazing at the bright future as a man, doctor, professor and a kind father.

He loved good wines and dinner parties with his friends and colleagues. He showed happy smile whenever he talked about his friends at home.

Even after the retirement, his great passion has never been lost. While fighting illness, he spent his final year with astonishing energy refining his English skills, revising his own popular dermatology textbook, watching hundreds of good movies that sometimes moved his heart deeply. And on 17th Feb, he’s gone calmly.

We held his funeral just with our family on 20th Feb.
We would like to thank all Hiroshi’s friends and colleagues who walked with him, because his big dream would never come true without every part of your kindness, heartful witness and assistance.

Our loving father has always said this word with smile.
“Have a big dream. Always try to be a No.1 in the world!”
Thank you very much all of you, our father’s great friends.

And thank you, Dad.
